Mooncake making session

I've learnt to make Lotus paste & nutty traditional baked mooncake last week.
This evening I've learnt to make walnut moon cake & Snow Skin moon cake.
However, I've no oven at home. Nevertheless, Snow Skin moon cake doesn't need the oven. I'm so excited to go into practice. Targeting to do it this weekend. As for the recipe, there are many missing points that need to be added to the notes. Therefore, will have to practice and reinvent my own receipe.

1st experience at Explanade with PLAY! A Video Game Symphony

Loonz brought me to the Esplanade for a concert last evening. The Singapore Festival Orchestra conducted by Arnie Roth (USA/Singapore) Asian Premiere, presented "PLAY! A Video Game Symphony. It's a wonderful experience. While they were playing the symphony, the screen showed the games animation, e.g. Super Mario, Blue Dragon, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Sonic the Hedgedog, Kingdom Hearts, World of Warcraft, Lost Odyssey... etc and the concert ended with a final bonus "Shinobe", one of the very old games.
It's the first time I went to the Esplanade for a concert. When I first entered the concert hall, it's awesome. Here's a picture of the concert hall taken before the programme started with my mobile. (quite blur). The orchestra was practising then, sound without the conducter was "NOISE".
While i was enjoying the music and the visual, it struck my mind it would be magnificent if we could have 3 dimensional effect visual (like to omni theatre at Science Centre) together with live symphony orchestra. That will be Woo La la!

Last Wednesday, 13 June, made an appointment with Serene and Angelin for lunch. It was Serene's last week working at HarbourFront office, next week she will be posted to her back office at Ubi.
While I was making my way to seek for sunflower for Serene, just then a few helicopters flew by. The picture on the right is the picture I happen to have taken with my new mobile phone, sony ericsson K618i.
Talking about my mobile... sigh... my previous one its screen went blank out again. It's the 3rd time. Luckily it went blank out just after I received Loonz's call when he was back to Changi Airport at 5:15am last Sunday 10 June. Now, my address book gone again.
Hmm.. seems that I have taken this picture quite well, I think they are rehearsing for the National Day.

My New Toy

Loonz is back, and he has given me a nice surprise that he has brought all the way back from South Africa!! This is my new soft toy tiger... no... it's a cub, lion. I couldn't help calling it tiger, i dunno why.

Isn't it cute....? I'm going to hug it, squeeze it, swing it and crash it until it can't breath. (Elmayra in tiny toons... hahaha)

Visit Tooth Relic Temple

Visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple at Chinatown with Loonz.

As a form of respect, the temple encourages appropriate attire:
No off-shoulders, sleeveless, shorts, mini skirt, 3-quarter pants.

However, the temple provides to lend "sarong" or pashmina at the entrance before you enter, if you happened to be sleeveless or in shorts

The temple had it "soft"opening ceremony on 30 May 07. On Vesak Day 31 May 07, the queue was so long that it went 3 rounds the temple!

I get to know about this blog after watching the movie "Just Follow Law".

"Lao Zha Bor" in Hokkein means "Old woman", and she is my inspiration to that I created my first blog.

After viewing her blog, for a moment, I felt I am so out-dated!

She has such an interesting blog long before and I've just learnt to create mine.
She is "senior" at age but young at heart. I admire this cheerful, fun-loving "senior" living her life to the fullest. Bless her good health & stay young!
